Hey Guys,
Which cable assy do I have to purchase to connect
an Easy 822 via the ethernet to my PC ?
THX T L.

Hi Timelord,
use an STP CAT5 cable. 1:1 over an switch or crossover for direct connection to PC.
Note: ethernet connection to easy 500-800 is only possible with easy209se on easyCPU

Yo Thomas , Thanks for the fast reply.
What you state as a note is exactly why I posted my question.
My point is in the Demo version of EasySoft Pro v6.91 I cannot find the Easy 209-SE at all. It's simply .NOT. in the software.
But an Ethernet interface complete with parameters is in the setup under 'Mode'. for the easy 800.
See attached picture.
Is in this version 6.91 of the software the Easy 209-SE obsolete for the new Easy 800 device as from version 10.xxxxxx ?
It baffles me at the moment.
When I do have complete Ethernet communication protocols it would indicate me that there is a direct connection possible from PLC easy 800 <=> PC.
And therefore I would need this interface cable.
Thanks anyway.

Hi Timelord
The 209se modul exist not as an expansion in easysoft. In your realy HW configuration plug in 209se on easyCPU NET-ID1 or other CPU. On this CPU enable ethernet connection and set the parameters.
Or you can use EASY209-SE Configuration Tool V2.12
Configuration of the ethernet module EASY209-SE, for Windows2000/XP/Vista (32 bit)/Windows 7 (32+64 bit)
For pin asignments, look at Eaton Wiring Manual page 112

Ok Thomas THX,
got it now ,
this means I need to purchase an EASY209-SE extra to gain any access to my local Ethernet.
Hmm.. that's not the ideal solution I'm looking for and the price goes up an extra few hundred bucks.
It is for an ECO prototype and I'm running low on $$$

Thanks a lot for all your explanations on this matter.
I'll let you know hat I decide.

Hi Timelord,
the 209se gateway isn`t cheap, I know. :-X
But an other option: easy control CPU EC4P222 + XION ECOmoduls
Ethernet, canopen/easynet, webserver 12/8 I/O are included. Codesys 2.3 programming system.
Here`s CPU price higher ~600€ +140€ can gateway + I/O (16DI~75€, 16DO~85€, 8AI~200€)
OK, check the prices and see ...
Nice HVAC system integrated in a fridge ;D
regards Thomas
One of the pictures shows an LOGO! program. Do you have actually Logo! controller in use? The new Logo! 0BA7 has ethernet include.

I'll check that one as well , THX.
I've tried out now and simulated some 15 different PLC and brands, I'm getting quite tired ( and experienced :P )
Nice HVAC system integrated in a fridge ;D
Got a new one now with 4 compressors , you noticed 2 extra compressors on top ?
That's only only half of the System ,the other half with evaporator freq. regulated mainmotor and hydroponics is in the hall partially in the ceiling.
Woking on this prototype since years .
Now I need a PLC to optimise the savings. ( 3-4 Mw yearly extra with standard Airco ::) )
The production unit will be indoors integrated in a fridge.

No it's not the Siemens Logo!, I tested that one too, it gave me not enough I/O , No , it's xLogic (Chinese)
Now Easy 800 has enough I/O and even with Remote I/O via NET.
Maybe I go for the Easy800 with the 209 .... it's bearable.
With remote I/O is even better then for my configuration (half the system outside),
with xLogic I have high costs for cabling , subrelays and termination.( only transistor output, but that one WORKS great)
I'll test your idea, THX a lot,

I've checked this out last week and it looks great.
Alas , I'm not doing this alone , especially the part with the Solar panels.
A few of the other interested neighbors thinking the CodeSys is getting to complicated.
We're here with 76 appartments and some 20 of them want/need Solar.
Others are looking out for the HVAC system.
So I keep it simple and stick with the Easy800 and additions (209)
I'll keep you updated ,
THX for all the info.
