Hi,
I have been using the Easy 412-AC-R to run a display with 4 lights. One light turns on randomly after a preset time. (imagine a "wack-a-mole" game)
When I first developed the program I just used a long pattern to achieve what appeared to be randomness but now the program is getting longer and I am running out of room and looking for a shorter way of doing this.
I was thinking of using an external random generator on a few inputs.
Anyone know of an easier way?
Thanks.

can you attached your current program?
-
Why don't you use one of the 8 "random switching timers" available on the easy412-ac-r?
One example is attached.

Hi Recardo, I can't see the attachment? Where should it be?

I'm attaching example as a zip file. Hope it works this time.

Now I really feel like a nooby, hope this is not too off topic but the file does not open for me, I tried other files from the forum and same result. My copy of easy (EASY-SOFT 3.01) wants to see the extension of .eas when I change the extension to .eas it just opens a mess. What is wrong?

No harm in asking. That’s the purpose of this forum.
Your EASY-SOFT 3 cannot open files created by a subsequent versions of the software. EASY-SOFT 4 or 5 create files with a suffix “e40”.
However, Moeller is still supporting your software. In fact there is a Free update for owners of EASY-SOFT' Version 3.0/3.01 to Version 3.1.
Find attached the example created with EASY-SOFT 3.
I liked version 3 until version 5 came out, much faster and powerful to work with. I suggest you try out: EASY-SOFT-PRO Demo Version, Version 5.10 with PC-Simulation
For the 3.1 update and for the 5.10 demo go here:
