I need to know if the PO block in the Easy 800 allows me to change the Jog Frequency (Parameter PF) during a move.
What I need to do is start a conveyor. Then when the product triggers Switch #1, the conveyor will slow to a lower frequency and then when the product triggers Switch #2, the conveyor will ramp to a stop.
Thank You,

Hi Norman
I’m not sure if the PO-Functionsblock ist the best way to control a Frequency converter. If I were you I’d use the analog output of the Easy. Most FU’s can be controled with a analog value 0-10VDC. Easy offers Function-Blocs to create ramps to control the spead up and down.

The conveor is driven by a stepper motor. The stepper drive takes step and direction inputs. That is why I am interested in the PO function.
I have an Easy 800 on order with the proper firmware to have the PO function so I can do a test.
Thanks,

Hi Norman
I’ve read the manual of the PO functions bloc and I think it is not possible to control multispeed. There is a accelerate- and decelerate ramp and a full spees value. If you find a solution let me know.

Well, I have connected my stepper drive to the Easy 800.
I used MW's for all the parameters into the PO function block. (For the I1 parameter I used a double word MD).
I was hoping in the jog mode that I could change the frequency while the block was active but it does not seem possible.
However, the block does work as advertised and generates the steps as described in the documentation.
