I have an easy512 connected to an easy209-SE in a shed that is 400m from the computer in the office. If i run an ethernet cable from the shed to the office can i connect it so that if i installed easy soft on the computer i could then use logmein and do any mods to the easy that might need to be done and also if the customers computer has easy soft installed would he be able to use the MFD-CP4 simulator that comes in the software to veiw the screen of the easy which is counting water meter pulses.

400m is out of range.
Each network segment can have a maximum distance of 100 metres (328 ft). In its typical configuration, 100BASE-TX uses one pair of twisted wires in each direction, providing 100 Mbit/s of throughput in each direction (full-duplex).
Is RS485 connection to easy not possible???

Hello Radar,
                   Basically i can do whatever i need to do to be able to veiw the easy over the distance, so what would you suggest i do.
