We have an MFD+MFDCP8-NT+EAST819-DC-RCX, when trying to communicate the program will download to the easy but when you try to connect to the mfdcp8-nt it comes up saying the device connected is not the same as the one in the program or is off an older type. We sent the cp8 back thinking it was faulty but the new one does the same. Our software has been upgraded to 6.40 pro. Anybody help as this project needs sorting

To clarify the situation first let us know your configuration in more detail.
As far as I understood you are using a network with
NetId 1 or 2 : CPU MFD-CP8-NT + display without I/O-module
NetID 2 or 1 : CPU EASY819
and both CPU's do have a program.
Is this correct?
