Hi,

We are struggling with our easy E4 and Modbus over TCP/IP.

The PC has easySoft v7.11 installed, and the easy E4-PLC is updated to firmware v1.12, and the Modbus server is activated and I/O are readable.

We have set static IP-adresses on the PC and the PLC, and the PC can ping the PLC.

The PCs firewall i temporarely shut down, but we can't contact the Modbus server from a test application like Radzio! Modbus Master Simulator or CAS Modbus Scanner.

Have we missed something?
What is the preferred test application?

Hi Ole,

at first, activate in your projekt tab the Modbus server and needed flag words / IO.

Please read chapter 11.4.4 Modbus-Map for the mapping offset.
For example, you read with Function 0x03(ReadHoldingRegister) MW200-207 from E4, then is the offset 1200 and length 8.

My test application is an codesys 3.5 MBTCP-Master on XV102 PLC and it's run.
