Communication Error, device not responding

I cannot get my PC to communicate with the Easy 800. It just comes up with the message in the subject heading.

It's not in RUN mode, and down the right of the device's screen it says P-, ST and STOP

I've gone through all the help and can't find anything. Maybe there's a way to format it?

I really need this thing up and running so really grateful for any help.

Do you use direct the serial port COM1 or USB Converter?

Hi there, it's going through a USB converter. Was working fine this morning.

We have found that some of the USB to Serial converters do not always work with EasySoft.  The one we have not had any problems with is the Keyspan 19HS version. 

If you can get a PCMCIA card w/ RS232 that is the best solution.

Thanks, RS have now replaced the box so I can't tell you what was wrong, but I'll certainly get one of those leads for the new box.
