hello everybody
i have an easy822DC-TC with .i am required to extract the counter value through serial port using rs232. i am using easycom40 protocol and developed the codefor this using c. but the plc is not responding.
i have set the necessary baud rates n all according to protocol specification
can any body tell me what is the problem. :-[

Not sure what kind of program or cables are you using between easy822 and PC. Easy822 must be at least Ver.7 to use SP-function block. Perhaps you can file attach your e60 prog to see what you're after...
Are you able to at least exchange ANY text from easy to Hyperterminal as in SMS topic below?

i am not getting any data or response from my plc even through hyper terminal. what i want to do is jus obtain the requested data(using serial protocol easycom40) and display it in my screen... but its not responding to anythin... i have a counter prog running on it...
