Can older e4 base units be updated without using an sd card, we have a unit that needs updating and so far have tried 3 sd cards but it keeps saying sd card is not available.

Hello srd,
it's not possible to update easyE4 without SD cards. It prohibided because of cyber security regualtions
to prevent uploading corrupt FW-Data to a easyE4 controller You have to have physicalliy access to the easyE4.

Most common issue with "SD card not available" is a wrong type of SD card. See picture attached.
