Titel: 4-20ma splitter
Beitrag von: srd am Januar 19, 2026, 08:41:55 Vormittag
What is the best way to replicate a 4-20ma / 5m level transducer input and replicate it using one of the analogue outputs on the analogue expansion module. If possible in function block please. Cheers

Is that what you mean?

@srd, wy do you want to split it by software?
The 4...20mA signal you can use at multi inputs/components.

we have a level transducer in a tank and want the 4-20ma going to 2 different controllers.

Perhaps I don't understand the problem...

It's a signal by costant current. You can this signal connect to both controllers in series (or more).

Hi Werner, I've also considered this possibility, but in my opinion, it can't be answered so generally, as the entire loop resistance needs to be taken into account.

PS: Cheers to Mr. Kirchhoff!

Yes, that's right. But normally the restance possibility of the transmitter ist so high, that you can connect more inputs in series.
Do you read the manual or technical datas?

Excuse my English.
