I have an easy512 and need to pull out program and in stall in back up plc also a 512 anything that I need to know? I have cable and software will be here tomorrow it is basic. Rod

It is pretty straight forward...
Load the software, plug in the cable (I assume you have the USB cable).
Click on communication in the lower left corner.
Select EASY 500 / EASY 700 bullet and click OK
Click on Communication in the upper left of the screen.
Click Interface dropdown box and select your cable.
Click ONLINE Button. If everything is right, there will be no errors.
Click on Program / Configuration and click Device => PC (DO NOT SELECT THE OTHER ONES!)
It will ask if you want to stop the program running. Select Yes.
It will then copy the program tot he computer.
Save the program (File, Save).
Next, replace the easy with the new one. Turn it on and plug your cord back in.
Do the same as above EXCEPT when you get to the Program / Configuration screen, click the PC => Device
That'll do you.
Oh, one thing. The cable you are using, (again assuming USB), needs the drivers from Moeller (Eaton... whatever you want to call them). A small disc will come with the cable if it is new that has the drivers.
