Hi Guys
I want to use the Eaton Easy4 PLC to create a splice detection system on a printing web. Although I have some experience with other PLC's i've never used Eaton and I'm struggling where to start.
I would like to use a 200mm wheel encoder 200PPR
The process will be started by the activation of an ultrasonic sensor
I have designed this on another plc but it does not have a high speed counter function (please see picture attached)
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Adam

Hello!
What is the maximum frequency of the sensor? Siemens LOGO does not have high-speed inputs? I am a bit surprised, well probably only as an expansion module ...

Thanks for the reply.
No, the logo doesn't have high speed counters and for the budget we have we can't afford a higher price PLC.
Frequency is under 5khz
Thanks Adam

Not all Siemens Logo base modules have fast counter inputs. only the 24CE and the 12/24RCE.

Hi,
I try to follow the discussion - but my English is not good enough...
What is " a splice detection system on a printing web" ?
There are so many different words a translator shows me for "splice"... I have no idea, what you are talking about...
Sorry....
I woudl be happy to learn...
