Easy Program Retention w/o MC

The easy can hold on to a program for a very long time without  the memory card. I have reviewed the clock battery retention time which is based on years of service. Does anyone have a number for how long an Easy will retain the program without power and without memory card? I have been told 2-3 yrs in the past but I would like some confirmation.
