Class 1 Div 2

Does anyone know if the Easy is Class 1 Div 2 rated?  I have a customer requesting a Class 1 Div 2 PLC with 14 relay outpus and 120VAC power.

Would a networked set of Easy 800's fit?

It is a fact of gas and dust class:
Class 1, Div. 2 means: Where ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, vapours, or liquids are not likely to exist under normal operating conditions.

I don’t think, EASY is certificated of gas-class. A solution could be, to integrate Easy in a gas-protected box. With this solution Easy 800 may be be accepdet.

I yust found a solution for you. BARTEC in Germany http://www.bartec.de upgrated Easy800 and MFD for applications in gas contained enviroment. (Explosion-proof)

I have checked our stock of the Easy and it now has printed directly on the side of it Class 1 Div 2 so I believe I am alright.

Thank you for the link to the Explosion proof MFD.  I will keep that in mind.
