Hi,
I have a 10 bit Easy 512-dc-rc with 2 analog inputs. Also I have a potentiometer with 0-30 mm range & wanted to give this linear displacement input to the moeller unit (easy 512 dc-rc).
All I want to know is how much time does the potentiometer take to travel from lets say 5mm to 25 mm. I know we can write a program in the software (EASY SOFT V6.10 BAsic), so that the PLc can spit out the time taken for the specified travel.
Since I am an engineer I am not really an expert in PLC porgramming, but i learned the online tutorials & wrote a program for the above mentioned task.
I used analog comparators for comparing the analog values coming in from the potentiometer. I dont understand how to use timers to give me the desired time period of travel. I tried looking into the help menu which doesnt really help. even if I use a timing relay how do I give the setpoint parameters
Variables or Constants ?
What kind of mode do I use because I dont need a delay ?
Your help would be greatly appreciated in this regard
Could somebody help me giving directions to write this little program ?
