How to daisy chain MFD?
« am: März 12, 2014, 15:31:15 Nachmittag »
I need to run 2 MFD modules connected together...
The first MFD (Display+CP8-NT+MFD-RA17) will be panel mounted on the cabinet door while the second MFD (no display; CP8NT + MFD-RA17 only) will be DIN-rail mounted.

Will it work if I build such a network using easy NET RJ cable to connect them together?

Dear John.

In general it will work but the MFD is not intended for DIN-rail mounting.
You may use an EASY8xx. Except the visualization (which is not required)
it has the same functionality.

The bare bone MFD CP8-NT has DIN-rail latches that are visible when you remove the display that normally sits on top of it :)

My question was more out of curiosity (or necessity) as I have 2 spare MFD units that I intend to use in one of my projects instead of easy820-DC-RC modules.
