there is a configuration example in the appendix with 96 inputs and 48 outputs. You need 4 base-devices and 4 expansion-devices for AC-technology over network, to handle the in-, and outputs. You need only 3 base-devices and 3 expansion-devices over Network for 96 inputs and 48 outputs in DC-technology with tranistor-output. You can use switching relays for the outputs at 230V to switch.
In the wiring diagram of the 1st device you see like the inputs and outputs are mentioned. Every device can unite a programme of its own have. The maximum number at inputs amounts to 192 and at outputs 128 in DC-technology.
