Converting between programming methods

Hi, new to this forum and pretty sure someone have already askes the same but i find searching difficult.
Is there any way to get the whole page in english?

My main question is if theres a way to convert between programming methods in a program?

I teach electronics, microcontroller programming and electronic communications so working with easy4 is a little out of my knowledge but sometimes students ask me about their programs and why they don't work etc.

Problem is they usually program in ladder and I'm better with blocks :)

Hi Tarjei,
it is not intended to switch between programming methods.

One piece of advice: Do not use EDP anymore.
This method does not provide all the features and benefits of the other 3 methods.
Only intended for people who don't want to learn anything new or want to import programs
from devices from the previous series. (After import you can save as ladder digram)

I notice you recommend not using EDP anymore?
Are you able to advise what features and benefits are not available using EDP?

Hi Tony,
only some  reasons:
- No UFs (User Defined Fuction Blocks) - A huge benefit of easySoft 7/ 8
- Only 256 Networks
- A maximum number of 128 M
- In my opinion, switching from circuit diagram to block diagram in EDP is not clear for beginners
- Only 4 operands in series, then an output operand is needed. E.g. an M-operand to connect more operands in series in next network.

I prefer FUP, ST and use UFs.

I fully understand  :)

I still find EDP a nice simple piece of software and over the years I have worked with many customers on 100's of programs, some quite simple to some very complexed and I always found it was easy for the customers to understand and learn how to program using easysoft software.  :)
